New Ordinances Effective April 7, 2025
Pitt County has enacted Law Enforcement Ordinance No. 7 & 8.
Ordinance No. 7
Prohibits discharging a firearm in a way that allows the projectile to cross property lines without prior permission from impacted property owners or legal entities.
Ordinance No. 8
Prohibits firearm discharge between 9:30 PM and 6:30 AM in or into residential areas (e.g., subdivisions, mobile home parks, multi-family housing).
