Public Hearings for Rezoning Request by Happy Trail Farms, LLC & C&D Landfill, Inc.
The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings on Monday, May 19, 2025, at or after 6:00 pm in the Eugene James Auditorium in the County Administration Building located at 1717 W. 5th Street, Greenville, N.C. to consider the following requests:
- Rezoning request by Happy Trail Farms, LLC to rezone 3.321 acres of their property from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (Conditional District) (GC(CD)) to allow the operation of a self-storage warehouse facility. The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 37496, and is located on the northern side of SR 1711 (Worthington Road), west of its intersection with SR 1735 (Tull Road) in the Chicod Township.
- Rezoning request by C&D Landfill, Inc. to rezone 122.71 acres of their property from Rural Agricultural (RA) to Light Industrial (LI). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 08633, and is located on the southern side of US 264 East, south of its intersection with NC 30 in the Pactolus Township.
The purpose of these public hearings is to gather public comment and input on the proposed requests prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
