Pitt County Animal Services Hosts “Super Saturday CAT-urday”
Pounce on the Purr-fect Deal; half off cat adoptions July 19
Pitt County Animal Services (PCAS) will host a Super Saturday CAT-urday adopt-a-thon on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at its facility located at 4550 County Home Road, Greenville, N.C.
Shelter cats and kittens are available for adoption with no appointments needed. As of July 9, 2025, there are 90 cats and kittens available for adoption.
The regular adoption fee for cats has been reduced to $48.00 for the half-priced event. Fees cover spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, FIV/FelV testing and deworming.
Pitt County hosted its first CAT-urday in June 2021 and 15 cats were adopted.
“We’re at a critical point with the number of cats in our shelter,” says Tiffany Peterson, Director, Pitt County Animal Services. “Events like CAT-urday are more than fun, they’re essential. Every adoption helps us make space, save lives and give these cats the loving homes they deserve. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the purr-fect time.”
