Free Family Event to Promote Seasonal Safety and Benefit Local Charity
On Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Pitt County Emergency Management and Cultural Arts & Recreation will host the County’s annual Holiday Safety Fair at the Alice F. Keene District Park located at 4561 County Home Road in Greenville, N.C.
Benefit:
The event will serve as a collection point for donations of new, unwrapped toys for children and families of the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC.
“Come out and meet our first responders from across Pitt County and support the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC,”
says Randy Gentry, Emergency Management Director.
Activities will include:
- DH Conley Jazz Band & JROTC
- Helicopter and Touch-A-Truck featuring Pitt County EMS, Pitt County Public Health, Sheriff’s Office, NC Highway Patrol, EastCare, Winterville 15 Fire, Simpson Fire, Eastern Pines Fire and more!
- Home heating and cooking safety information
- Food vendors, including Anita’s Taco, Rezzie’s Pancakes, FairyTales Concessions
- Crafts and free art projects
- Pitt County Animal Services
- Petting Zoo
- Photo opportunity with Santa in his “Sant-Ambulance”
“We hope to provide an opportunity for learning and engagement and most of all spread holiday cheer to as many people as possible! By collecting toys, we can leverage the giving spirit of public service with our desire to help,”
