Pitt County to Host Celebration Honoring Employee Veterans
PITT COUNTY, N.C. – Pitt County invites all media to the Employee Veterans Celebration on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pitt County Office Park Community Center located at 415 Government Circle, Greenville, N.C.
“In honor of our Veterans, Pitt County extends its deepest respect, admiration and gratitude to the men and women who selflessly served our country in the Armed Forces. As we gather for this special event, we recognize the sacrifices made by all Veterans who have safeguarded our freedoms and way of life,” says Benji Holloman, Chair, Pitt County Board of Commissioners.
The Veterans celebration program will feature special guest speakers, refreshments and gifts.
Additional Veteran recognition initiatives will take place throughout the county with Operation Green Light.
“In alignment with the National Association of Counties (NACo), Pitt County encourages municipalities, businesses and residents to participate in Operation Green Light for Veterans by displaying a green light in a window of their place of business or residence November 4-11, 2025,” says Janis Gallagher, Pitt County Manager.
Pitt County recognizes Veterans by illuminating the Pitt County Courthouse, located at 100 West 3rd Street, Greenville, N.C., green the week of Veterans Day, November 4-11, 2025.
