Requesting Public Input Before County Commissioners' Consideration
The Pitt County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings on Monday, April 7, 2025, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Mark W. Owens Auditorium in the Pitt County Agricultural Center located at 403 Government Circle, Greenville, N.C. to consider the following requests:
- Rezoning request by No Quarter Group, LLC to rezone 13.56 acres of property owned by the Georgia M. Allen heirs, Betty M. McLawhorn, Veteran A. Merritt II, Catherine M. Valand and Marie M. Deloach from Rural Residential (RR) to Rural Agricultural (RA). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 14724, and is located on the southern side of NC 33 East, west of its intersection with SR 1562 (Alvin Road) in the Grimesland Township.
- Rezoning request by Glenda Briley to rezone 40.69 acres of property owned by William R. Garris, Glenda G. Briley, and Audrey Gay Garris from Rural Agricultural (RA) to Rural Agricultural (Conditional District) (RA(CD)) to operate a sand mind. The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 08422, and is located on both sides of SR 1534 (Old Pactolus Road), west of its intersection with US 264 East in the Pactolus Township.
- Rezoning request by CHW Farm, LLC to rezone 21.05 acres of their property from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (GC). The subject property is identified by the Tax Assessor’s Office as Parcel Number 91282, and is located on the northern side of US 13, east of the NC 11 Bypass (Southwest Bypass) in the Arthur Township.
The purpose of these public hearings is to gather public comment and input on the proposed requests prior to consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
