Opening Burning Allowed for Natural Vegetation Beginning April 2
Due to recent precipitation, green up of forest vegetation and decreased fire danger, the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services rescinded the restriction on open burning for all North Carolina counties effective at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
“To remain consistent with the N.C. Department of Agriculture, Pitt County lifted our burn ban today at 8:00 a.m.,”
