New Tuesday Evening Markets and Special Events Announced
The Leroy James Farmers Market is excited to announce expanded hours for the summer season, creating more chances for residents to shop local and connect with area vendors.
Starting Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Market will offer a Mid-Week Mini Market every Tuesday from 3:00–7:00 p.m. In addition to these new hours, the traditional Saturday market will continue from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
“This additional Tuesday Market is responsive to feedback from the community and vendors,” said Janis Gallagher, Pitt County Manager. “Having a Tuesday evening option gives our residents even more opportunities to purchase fresh, locally grown food and enjoy handmade crafts from local artisans.”
The Market is located at 4560 County Home Road, Greenville, N.C. in the County Home Complex.

- Tuesday, June 10: Cool off and grab a bite! Visit the market for a fun evening featuring Kona Ice and The Rock Food Truck both onsite from 3:00–7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 21: Celebrate the first day of summer at the Summer Solstice Market from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.This special event will feature:
- 32+ local vendors
- Pilates on the Lawn hosted by Downtown Barre
- Face painting with a local artist
- Sweet treats from Kona Ice
“Our goal this summer is to bring customers fresh and local food items while also helping them to build community,” said Noel Smith, Market Manager. “These expanded hours and special events make it easier for families and individuals to support local farmers and artisans, no matter their schedule.”
