Ribbon cutting ceremony with media availability scheduled for June 26
PITT COUNTY, N.C. – Pitt County Solid Waste and Recycling announces the opening of the Recycling & Disposal Solutions site located at 803 Staton Road, Greenville, N.C.
Recycling & Disposal Solutions (RDS), a Virginia Beach, VA based waste and recycling corporation, offers services to municipal, residential, commercial and industrial customers in Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. RDS purchased the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) from Eastern Carolina Vocational Center (ECVC) on September 1, 2023.
RDS purchased and installed new AMP Robotics with AI technology for the Greenville site for greater efficiency and faster processing of recyclable materials from Pitt County and Eastern North Carolina.
“AI technology will enhance the processing of materials for a better product by recovering more material and removing more contamination,” says John Demary, Solid Waste & Recycling Director.
