Recognizing National Diabetes Awareness Month
The Pitt County Health Department will hold a Diabetes Education and Wellness Event: Living Well with Diabetes to kick off National Diabetes Awareness Month on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Living Well with Diabetes will be held at the Pitt County Office Park Community Center located at 415 Government Circle, Greenville, NC.
The event is free and open to the public.
“We're excited to bring the community together for this informative and engaging event focused on diabetes prevention and living well with diabetes,” says Patti Columbe, Health Department Diabetes Care Coordinator. “Whether you are pre-diabetic, have gestational diabetes, living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, or simply want to learn more about preventive measures, this is the perfect opportunity for you!”
Living Well with Diabetes Event Offerings: Health Screenings: Free diabetes screenings and blood pressure checks. Special Guest: A special ECU surprise guest meet and greet and photo opportunity. Resources: Mindful activities, resource booths and information from local partners and vendors.
