2026 Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games Registration
Celebrating 43 years of fun and fitness for seniors in Pitt County
PITT COUNTY, N.C. – Pitt County Cultural Arts & Recreation announces registration for the 43rd Annual Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games is now open. The Local Games are scheduled for April 6 - April 25, 2026, with the deadline for registration set for Thursday, March 5, 2026.
Athletes and artists age 50 and over will have an opportunity to compete in more than 40 sports events, and SilverArts (including visual, literary, performing, and heritage). Sports events include pickleball, horseshoes, walking, swimming, basketball, softball, bicycling, bowling, billiards, table tennis, team sports for softball and 3-on-3 basketball, and more. “The Senior Games are about more than competition; they’re about connection, wellness and celebrating the talents of adults 50 and better,” says Jennifer Lanier-Coward, Director, Pitt County Cultural Arts & Recreation. “We’re proud to offer inclusive opportunities that keep our senior community active, engaged and inspired.”
The Senior Games Program is a leading health promotion and well-being program for community members across Pitt County. During the Local Games, participants are joined by seniors from Beaufort, Martin, Hertford and Bertie Counties. Participants have year-round opportunities for practice sessions, clinic, and sports competition.
Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games is one of 54 local games sanctioned by North Carolina Senior Games. Select participants on the local level will be qualifying to compete in the N.C. Senior Games State Finals this fall.
The Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games are coordinated by Pitt County Cultural Arts & Recreation with the support and sponsorship of the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department, ECU Campus Recreation and Wellness Department, College of Health and Human Performance, Mid-East Commission Area Agency on Aging and Senior Services at ECU Health.
