Pitt County Government Offices, Services/Programs Closure Update
Schedule changes happening February 4
Pitt County Government offices, including Public Health clinical services, will be closed on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
“I extend my appreciation and gratitude for the significant number of dedicated County employees who have continued to work throughout this challenging weather event. Due to the condition of secondary roads, continuing precipitation and cold temperature forecasted, and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of staff and those we serve, County offices will be closed tomorrow, says Janis Gallagher, County Manager.
Cultural Arts & Recreation programs/classes are cancelled for Wednesday, February 4.
Pitt Area Transit System (PATS) services will be limited on Wednesday, February 4.
Patients with clinic and PATS appointments will be contacted for rescheduling.
Solid Waste and Recycling staff will continue to clear convenience sites as conditions allow. An update on reopening will be released when known. The Transfer Station, located at 3025 Landfill Road, Greenville is open.
The Animal Services Advisory Board meeting scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4 at the Cultural Arts & Recreation Building located at 4561 County Home Road, Greenville has been cancelled.
